So question for everyone - would you prefer Phoebe to do her thing BEFORE the game starts so everyone is pre-activated? Or would you rather have her activating everyone as maybe the first story? Just kind of wanted to see how the group felt so I know whether or not to include that in her history. Thanks! <3


I've been mulling over this and had a potential idea - Let's go with the theory that Sin was supposed to be Sailor Hippolyta. At some point Hippolyta's starseed decided Sin wasn't the best candidate anymore, but can't go back to the galaxy caldron because Hippolyta still needs a senshi, even if the terraforming got botched. The starseed knows Sin is in no position to choose an heir (unlike Ronwy or Adelita or any of the other senshi who stayed loyal to the end - their choice rang "true") so it chooses to go back to the Platinum Crystal where it has the best chance of coming across an appropriate heir. So Phoebe is unknowingly carrying Hippolyta's starseed until it finds the right person and would transfer with(?) without(?) her knowing it. This could be what keeps her from dying when Sin rips out her Crystal - she has a hidden spare so to speak, even if she can't use it herself. That way, whenever the slot is ready to be open, it could be a little more explainable. Just a thought! ^^;
 

I agree with Pixie on number 4 - I think it would be neat if the free powers are a new thing that evolved out of the situation on Vega and maybe even be the starseeds' reaction to the fact that the Platinum Gnosis Crystal has been "compromised" by Sin - something that never happened to the Silver Crystal. It kind of makes sense, especially if you consider the starseeds are kind of, sort of sentient - they pick out their hosts because they resonate with the person - so maybe they can sense the Platinum Crystal isn't resonating "right" and evolved to protect themselves and their hosts. Or at least that is my thought process around the subject. ^^;;


Yep! Phoebe has a separate compact. I did some wiki double-checking and Sailor Moon also used a compact to transform and not the Silver Crystal. At the end of Act 14, she breaks her compact and de-transforms even though she still has the Silver Crystal. Queen Selenity gives her a new brooch, which then also houses the Crystal. It looks like the Crystals are used more to transform into Princess (or Prince) form, which would help explain why Sin's fuku looks more like a Princess form. As a side question/idea... Maybe some of the Vegan ruins are actually the former castles of the original senshi, which would allow the current senshi to transform into an Eternal form like the senshi do in the manga (way, way down the road in the game)?


I think it is implied in the manga and outright said in the anime that the Silver Crystal is Usagi's starseed (and the Sapphire Crystal is Galaxia's).If we decide to go with that, then the Platinum Crystal would be Phoebe's starseed. So maybe the galaxy cauldron chose Phoebe since folks from Sol were starting to terraform and populate Vega therefore those celestial bodies would need senshi once again and the Sol folks who would become "New Vegans" would be the best choice as protectors? But that is totally just my thoughts and I'd love to hear what y'all think too!

No problem! I had thought about that too, just wanted to mainly come up with a plausible situation where some of the uninvited folks would have an easier time sneaking in. I'm fine with keeping the wedding setting and I'll start working on an opening post this week. <3

I'm going to throw in a suggestion here -- maybe instead of a wedding, could we use some kind of masquerade party instead? That would allow more leeway for those not officially invited to sneak in and it'll also hide the coppelia better, so Miri doesn't need to get tipsy on the job. (Plus costumes means more reason for there to be incorrect Terran symbolism). ... And it'll also keep everyone's faces from being pushed to top of Sin's Most Wanted posters if the coppelia doesn't become scrap parts because we all know in the Sailor Moon universe masks make people completely unrecognizable. XD

I think -- and y'all please jump in with any corrections! -- the only big difference is that, yes, Adonis is the one that Sin captured. She is currently using Adonis as Fauxbe until she can recapture the real Phoebe. (I'm thinking that Sin has by now really started ramping up her search for the missing princess since Phoebe will be 18 in six months and she's supposed to be crowned at that time).

In turn, Phoebe has been on the run with Vaness since their escape eight years ago, posing as her cousin Mirielle. They're both boarding above the Owl & Pussycat where Vaness works at night. (And during the day the pair works at a yet-to-be-named newspaper).

I think that's about it ... Anyone else have any changes/additional details?

Do you mind if we're plotting and writing before our characters are fully revised? That's the main reason I hadn't really started plotting yet ... hadn't finished fixin' up Phoebe. If you're okay with that, though, maybe we could all get together and have a plotting session?

Oooh, awesome! <3 I could see the one outfit (sans the mask) as some kind of travel outfit for Phoebe and the gown in the first pic definitely looks like something she would have worn. Though, like Sage said, Sin dressing Fauxbe (especially with the mask) would totally work too.
